Highlights
We had an exciting day in Grade 3. We started our day with morning challenge and math. We started lesson 4 in our data analysis unit. Todays lesson focused on drawing and interrupting a bar graph. After math, we had music. The students are practicing for the upcoming Winter Concert. We hope all the students will attend. After music, we had a special presentation from the CNG grade 8 and 9 Band, the grade 7, 8 and 9 Chamber Choir and the grade 8 and 9 Jazz Band. It was wonderful and very entertaining. Before lunch, we had Daily 5. After lunch, we had writing. We're continuing to learn about narrative and expository writing. The students were introduced to a new topic today. Please ask them about it. At the end of the day we had social studies. We're continuing our unit on India. Our focus today was on poverty in India as well as village and city life in India. Today there were many questions about quality of life. We will continue to explore this question during social studies. On Friday, we will be learning about the types clothing worn in India. If students have any traditional clothing from India, I have asked them to bring it or wear it to school on Friday. There will also be a test on India on Wednesday December 20th. A study sheet will go home on Wednesday.
