Monday December 28th 2017

Highlights
We started our morning with morning challenge. In math, we completed lesson 5. Students had to come up with a story problem topic and a question to ask the class (i.e. Novel study books to read as a class? Games to play during an indoor recess?). hen had to collect data, create a bar graph and interpret the bar graph. During gym, students completed a self reflection activity. We then had social studies. Today we tried a few dances children in India do. We had Daily 5 before lunch. After lunch, we started our new read aloud. We had carolling in the gym and a rehearsal for the Winter Concert. We finished chapter 1 of our read aloud and answers some questions in our response journal. At the end of the day the students in choir had a practice and the rest of the class had free time/catch-up time.

Don't forget to wear a red, green, white or black shirt and dark pants on Wednesday. Parents please remember the concert is in the afternoon and evening. You are welcome to come to both. For the evening performance if your child is in choir they will need to be at school at 5pm. They are in both performances. All the other students, please be at school for 6:30.
