Monday March 12th 2018

Highlights:
We started our morning with a classroom 'brain dump.' We do this most mornings but today we spent a little extra time talking about our weekends and any concerns or big events we had coming up. We had math. We started our measurement unit today. Today we completed our launch unit. In this unit, student's will be learning about non-standard and standard measurement and how to measure the passage of time. We will be measuring length, width, height and perimeter in centimeters and meters. As well as measuring mass of an object in grams and kilograms. The student's had music and gym this morning. We had spelling and writing. During writing, student's continued to work on their winter stories. We will be typing these stories in google drive later this week. After lunch, we had social studies/art. We created prints of pysanky eggs. This was quite labour intensive and involved a lot of steps. During next weeks student led conferences, the student's will be showing you how they made their prints. They are excited to teach their parent's how this is done.
