Monday March 5th 2018

Highlights:
We had another busy day in grade 3. We started our morning with math. We're reviewing the addition and subtraction unit because there is a test on Thursday. Today, we completed an activity called, 'show what you know.' After math, we had music and gym. In gym, the student's have been learning a hip hop dance and they'll be performing it at Friday's assembly. Parents are welcome to attend: Friday March 9th at 9:45am. We had spelling and cursive writing. The student's were taught the last two lower case swing letters today (r and w). We will be learning curved lower case letters on Tuesday and Wednesday (a, d, g and qu).
We have been working extremely hard on our class book. The student's decided they wanted to change the topic of our book. The student's wanted to write a book using their Olympic research. We discovered our school library has no books about the winter Olympics and they wanted to make sure future student's would have a chance to learn about the winter Olympics. Today, we planned out the cover page, title page, table of content page as well as a few pages we like to leave as a surprise. The student's drew the good copy of their pictures and we will do the good copies of their writing this week. If you would like to order a copy of the class book please read below.
