Highlights:
Welcome back! BLUE Field Trip paperwork was sent home earlier this week. Please read through it and sign and return the forms by TOMORROW: Friday, April 6th, 2018. We have enough volunteers for the field trip. Thank you for offering your time to tag along and help our class! I have sent emails to each parent that wanted to volunteer saying whether or not they were selected to help us on this trip. We have a couple more in-school field trips coming up so if you haven't been able or weren't selected (yet) to volunteer this year, we will get those dates out to you soon.

This morning we worked on solving some measurement word problems. The students learned that drawing a picture can be a great strategy to help them solve a measurement word problem. The process we teach the students is to first, understand the problem and what is being asked. Second, make a plan using an appropriate strategy. Third, solve the problem. Last, look back and re-check their work.

In writing the students learned about triplet and quatrain poems. Tomorrow they will learn about and practice writing cinquain poems. The students also typed their couplet poems into their google docs. Ask your child to log-in and show you their work!

Reminders:
