Highlights:

Today the students worked on adding 3-digit numbers together. This is a difficult task, but they seem to be doing quite well. They like the 'right to left' math strategy as well as breaking the numbers apart. The students took their spelling quiz. They were marked and sent home today. They will not have spelling next week. We started annotating expository and narrative text this week. The students are numbering the paragraphs, locating the title, and learning about the main event and elaborative details. In science, the students learned about safe hearing and we tested out a decibel app on the iPads by walking around the school and recording the results.

Stay safe on these winter roads!
